A decade ago, JB Industries was relaunched with new ownership. My partner and I were excited
to have acquired an established company with a great brand, loyal employees, and an outstanding
reputation in the HVAC/R industry for manufacturing quality products. Our goal was to build
on its legacy and to make JB even better. We started by setting some lofty goals including
relaunching the company and brand, expanding our product portfolio, focusing on our customer
base, updating and increasing our factory production capability, and instilling in our employees
the absolute priority of customer satisfaction. We also adopted the slogan “Just Better” as a
mindset for everything we do.
Now when we take a step back and review how we have done after ten years of operating
and managing the company, we are pleased overall with what we see but there is still lots of
opportunity to improve. Our engineering team added a number of products to our portfolio
beginning with the Eliminator series vacuum pumps to our latest offerings including a new digital
manifold, wireless micron gauge, and JB’s first refrigerant recovery machine. The leadership team
made significant advances in expanding our domestic and international customer base. We made
major investments in factory machinery allowing JB to bring manufacturing capabilities in-house
that were previously supplied by others, helping us control supply and quality. Every one of our
employees is focused on product quality and customer service.
We operate in a very challenging market driven by very determined competitors that keep raising
the bar for excellence. This motivates the JB family to keep improving in an effort to maintain JB
as the premium supplier of products for the HVAC/R industry. We have added highly talented
personnel in key areas such as sales, marketing, engineering, and manufacturing to help keep JB
resources and efforts optimized.
Of course, none of what we do at JB has any meaning without our loyal employees, representative
and distributor organizations, and the customers they serve. We are indebted to them all for their
support and feedback so vital to keeping JB innovative and productive.
Finally, as we begin our second decade of JB ownership, we commit to you that with your
assistance we will continue to improve and increase our product offering, focus on our core
advantage of being a U.S. manufacturer, stress customer satisfaction as our top priority and look
forward to working together not only for the next decade but many decades to our mutual benefit.
